Hi! I'm Kristen, the Director of Bespoke Women, the female focused department at Bespoke Treatments in NYC.

My passion is helping women at every age and level of athleticism learn and excel with strength training.  In the world of training and physical therapy there is a serious void to the education and guidance given to women during pregnancy and postpartum. I aim to remedy this problem.

The Ultimate Guide to Strength Training during Pregnancy and Postpartum Webinar – hosted by our new female-inspired and developed department Bespoke Women – is designed to provide the knowledge you need to keep you adaptable in your current chapter and beyond.

I have seen my sister, my friends and patients all struggle with the lack of guidance during pregnancy and well into their postpartum chapters. With thousands of hours working with pregnant and postpartum athletes, I have been in the trenches and seen firsthand how strong and truly resilient the woman's body is. With direction, information, and empowerment, any woman can take the reins with their health and fitness.

At Bespoke Treatments, our motto is to help people Live Better, Longer.

The inspiration behind developing this webinar is to help women, like you, maintain their athletic identity through pregnancy and postpartum. I want you to feel empowered and informed about how to take care of yourself during this incredible chapter.

Why should you take this course and learn from me?

As a graduate of the NYU DPT program, strength coach, and pregnancy and postpartum athlete coach, I have dedicated my career to helping women get strong and live happier and healthier lives. I have coached, guided, and advised women throughout their pregnancy and into postpartum on exercise, low back pain, labor considerations, early postpartum considerations, and return to exercise and sport. I can confidently tell you that your athleticism doesn't go away when you become a Mother. Empowered with information, science, and specialized breathing and movement patterns, you can reap all of the amazing benefits of strength training even in this new season.

Referencing the following courses and utilizing principles from these certifications, I have combined the world of physical therapy as well as strength and conditioning to create this Webinar for you:

Viktoriia M., Bespoke Client

Words cannot express my gratitude to Kristen for the improvement I made since we started my strength program. I no longer have shoulder pain and feel so such stronger every day since.

I have never met a more professional, thoughtful, and knowledgeable Physical Therapist. Kristen is very creative and understanding. She can adapt to any circumstance, create a program with limited equipment or time. All I want to say - she really knows how to make you feel better.

Thank you! For so patiently, kindly, and wisely ferrying me from where I was..to the happier and stronger place I am now.

Prior to working with Kristen I felt defeated. Confused about how to have long term success with weight loss and fitness. Also, I didn’t know where to start other than just counting calories. Not to mention my physical pain from excess weight and an unhealthy lifestyle.

Kristen is fun, easy and informative!  She’s always there for me when I need help or encouragement.

I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and empowerment working with Kristen.  I never thought I would lose 30lbs AND go beyond that. I have so many tools, where I now feel confident I’ll keep my progress for years to come. Everything has become more of a fun habit than “work”.

Kristen really cares and is honest about expectations. The constant changes and tailoring to my goals/needs is amazing and way better than anything I’ve ever been able to do myself.

Rebecca R., Patient Testimony

Before working with Kristen I was very cautious with how I moved my body due to previous back injuries and frequent knee pain.  I often feared injuring myself and therefore never worked out to the best of my ability. Kristen gave me the confidence to push myself.  I have never felt so strong and in control of my body.  She has transformed the way I work out and I not only see the results, but feel them as well.

Working with Kristen is very comfortable.  She takes my concerns seriously and consistently builds my programs to give my body what it needs while taking into consideration my hectic schedule.  Kristen also takes the time to educate me to better understand how to take care of my body and in return no longer fear re-injuring myself.

If you work with Kristen she will take the time to get to know you and understand how physical therapy can help alleviate any pain you may be experiencing.  She is also super relatable and makes working out enjoyable while pushing you when needed.

Melissa S., Patient Testimony

Before I started working with Kristen, it felt like I was always managing my menstrual cramping and discomfort. Basically after my period ended, I’d get 2-3 day of relief and then inevitably, bloating, lower back cramping and weakness, and my c-section scar would throb. Progressively as I got closer and closer to my next cycle, the pain got so bad, I’d eventually be in bed, feeling like my muscles had atrophied and unable to stretch or work out or with out it feeling like my uterus was going to fall out of me and my c-section scar was ripping.

I originally met with Kristen because of my lower back pain and inability to make any progress.  I was hesitant to mention that it all coincided with my cycle as for years I felt shame around the fact that I couldn’t just suck it up. I’m a strong woman after all, I can’t be so wimpy that I can’t handle a few period cramps.

Kristen quickly recognized my pattern of discomfort and immediately pivoted to focusing on my pelvic floor and core. She was so attuned to my aches and pains, she targeted just the right areas and in a manner I could handle with out being debilitated from our sessions. We took it slow and I was sure to describe every little feeling I was having (I have only worked with Kristen virtually - I can only imagine how amazing she is in person) She even taught me how to work on the scar tissue around my c-section scar to “unstick” the scar tissue. This was a life changing moment for me!!! I hadn’t been able to feel that area of my body for years (I was 8 years out from my 2nd c-section) I would always feel pain, burning, tingling, or stabbing on and around my scar. I had mentioned it to many docs and they just said it was nerve damage and would eventually bounce back. I had given up, thinking it’d just always be that way. That was one of the areas that was sooo painful during my cycle too. I kept working on the release technique, my pelvic floor and core. I am so happy to report, that my pain and discomfort does not last pretty much 25 days of a 30 day cycle. Currently, I only seem to have pain when I ovulate for about 1-2 days and then again for about 2-3 days before my start. It is amazing to me how much this has improved my quality of life!! I can wok out, I’m in a better mood, I can have more sex and more enjoyable sex, and I can sneeze or caught without fear of peeing.

Not only has Kristen helped me physically, but she has helped mentally as well. Each session is not only a physical therapy session, but also like a therapy session. She is so easy to talk to, personable, kind, motivating and non-judgmental.

I would, and do recommend Kristen to anyone that is having honesty any issue, but especially women’s issues! I was thrilled to hear she was focusing on this! It’s so hard to go through pregnancies, c-sections and all these body changes, only to be told - “you’ll bounce back” That’s such bullshit, but we are prone to believe it. After all, our bodies just did something miraculous, we created a human being and fed them. Our bodies of course should just “bounce back” Right?

Well, I am one of many that didn’t just bounce back. It just caused me shame that I was unable to this seeming simple thing. I am so thankful for Kristen and highly recommend this wonderful human!

The adjustments made now are on behalf of your Long Term Fitness Goals.  You deserve the right to your Athletic identity and I am here to guide you through this journey.
